Running an Etsy shop is a meaningful business venture for many creatives. You get to share your creations with others and get paid. But for most Etsy shop owners, the most dreaded part of the job is bookkeeping. It's even scarier than marketing and social media. That's why I put together this Ultimate Guide to Etsy Bookkeeping.
As an accountant, my strength is teaching others how to DIY their bookkeeping so they have a solid understanding of their financial situation. These videos will show you what you need to do to get your bookkeeping up and running quickly so that you can get back to your favorite parts of being an Etsy seller. If you're avoiding your bookkeeping because you don't know where to start, consider this your opportunity to change that.
Option One: For Etsy Sellers on a Budget
Bookkeeping for your Etsy shop is important one day one. However, new Etsy shop owners are often on a budget and need a simple solution. In addition, while I love QuickBooks Online for Etsy shop bookkeeping (more on that below), often new sellers don't need something quite so complex. So I designed a robust bookkeeping spreadsheet for Etsy sellers; perfect for new sellers, sellers on a budget, and sellers who have a limited amount of vendor purchases.
Option Two: For Pro Etsy Sellers
Eventually your Etsy shop will grow and your bookkeeping needs will become more advanced. Maybe you need a bit more automation for your bookkeeping or you begin to sell on other platforms.
When you need to take your bookkeeping to the next level I recommend QuickBooks Online Simple Start because it has all the features you need to do your small business bookkeeping, at an affordable price. QuickBooks Online Simple Start is easy to use, yet it is powerful! (I do not recommend using QuickBooks Self-Employed. It’s missing a few important features and saves you very little in monthly fees. You can see my full review here.)
